This Privacy Policy explains how PostUno (“PostUno”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use PostUno (the “Service”). It also describes how we handle data from the social media platforms you connect, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X (Twitter), and LinkedIn. By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information — your name and email address, handled through our authentication provider (Clerk) when you sign up or log in.
- Content you submit — the videos, images, captions, and related details you upload to publish.
- Billing information — if you subscribe to a paid plan, payments are processed by Stripe. We store your subscription status and a Stripe customer reference, but we never receive or store your full card details.
- Communications — messages you send us for support.
Information from connected platforms
When you connect a social media account, we receive and store, via the platform’s official API:
- Access tokens that allow PostUno to publish on your behalf;
- Account identifiers and basic profile details, such as your Facebook Page(s), connected Instagram Business/Creator account, TikTok account, YouTube channel, X (Twitter) account, and LinkedIn member, so you can choose where to post;
- Publishing results returned by the platform after a post (success or failure status).
Information collected automatically
- Usage and device data — basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, and interactions with the Service, used for security and to operate the Service.
2. How we use information
- To provide the core Service — publishing your content to the platforms you select;
- To authenticate you and secure your account;
- To maintain and improve the Service and troubleshoot issues;
- To communicate with you about your account, updates, and support;
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your content for advertising.
3. Media storage and retention
Videos and images you upload are stored in secure cloud storage only as long as needed to publish them to your selected platforms. After publishing completes, PostUno deletes the uploaded media automatically. We retain account information, connection metadata, and post analytics for as long as your account is active, and delete or anonymize it within a reasonable period after you delete your account, unless we must retain it to comply with legal or tax obligations.
4. Platform data use & compliance
Our use of information received from Meta (Facebook and Instagram) APIs and Google/YouTube APIs adheres to those platforms’ requirements, including the Meta Platform Terms and Google API Services User Data Policy (including the Limited Use requirements). We only use platform data to provide and improve the publishing features you request, and we do not transfer it to others except as described here.
5. How we share information
We share information only in these limited cases:
- Connected platforms — we send your content and requests to the platforms you choose, in order to publish on your behalf.
- Service providers — vendors who help us run the Service (for example, authentication via Clerk, payments via Stripe, AI caption generation via OpenAI, hosting, and cloud storage), bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
- Legal reasons — when required by law, to protect our rights, or to prevent fraud or abuse.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
6. Data security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encrypted transport and secure storage of access tokens. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your rights and choices
- Disconnect platforms — you can revoke PostUno’s access to any connected account at any time from within the Service.
- Access, correction, deletion — you may request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Revoke at the source — you can also remove PostUno’s access through your Facebook Business Integrations or Google account permissions.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. To exercise any right, contact us at privacy@post-uno.com.
8. Data deletion requests
To delete your PostUno account and the data associated with it, email privacy@post-uno.com with the subject “Data Deletion,” or delete your account from within the Service. We will process verified requests within a reasonable time and confirm when complete.
9. International users
We may process and store information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
10. Children’s privacy
The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Policy with a new effective date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
